I'm currently working with a leading global specialty insurer that is looking to hire an experienced Conventional Power Underwriter / Senior Underwriter to join their Energy & Power division in London. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded team underwriting a global portfolio of conventional power risks, working closely with senior leadership to develop strategy and grow a profitable book of business. The Role You will play a key role in shaping and developing the Conventional Power portfolio, working with brokers and internal stakeholders to build long-term, profitable relationships across the London Market and internationally. Responsibilities include: Developing and executing underwriting strategy alongside the Head of Power Underwriting and managing a global portfolio of Conventional Power risks Building and maintaining strong broker relationships across the London Market Conducting portfolio analysis and steering the book toward sustainable profitability Monitoring aggregates, exposures and catastrophe management Representing the business in market meetings, industry events and international travel What they are looking for 10 years' experience within the Power insurance market Strong technical understanding of Conventional Power risks Established broker relationships within the London Market Strong analytical and portfolio management skills A proactive and collaborative approach This is a highly visible role within a growing Energy & Power platform, offering the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the portfolio.
