In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will plan and implement activities that delight residents, support fundraising events with the Home Manager, and help residents feel confident and socially engaged. Your work will involve creating new activity ideas based on residents’ hobbies and involving the care home team, always with a sense of kindness above all else.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver a range of engaging activities for residents.
* Assist the Home Manager in organising essential fundraising events.
* Encourage residents to socialise more effectively and foster a positive environment.
* Develop new activity ideas tailored to residents' interests and hobbies.
* Involve the care home team in activity planning and delivery.
* Communicate with residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.
* Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and take appropriate action, including reporting and escalation when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
* Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with experience developing activity programmes.
* Strong planning, organisational and IT skills.
* Excellent time‑management and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Effective communication skills and an ability to get along with people.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to seek advice, report concerns, and act appropriately.
