Who We Are
Sunny Bank PRS (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service) is a CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ service supporting individuals with mental health needs. We provide a fully integrated rehabilitative psychiatric service, including residential care, day care and supported living.
Our aim is to deliver person-centred, rehabilitative residential care for up to 21 residents who require medium to long-term support. Many of our clients progress to semi-independent living within the community. We also offer day care and support across 3 supported living properties in Bury (located close to our main residential home).

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Care & Support Assistant to work at our main home, Sunnybank PRS, as well as within our supported housing in the community. This role requires a full, clean UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
Applicants must have previous experience in mental health residential care and hold a Level 2 or 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care. The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional sleep-in shifts. Sleep-in shifts will be required following successful completion of a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities
* Report to the Registered Manager & Director
* Support clients across Sunnybank PRS and our supported housing properties.
* To assist the Director and Registered Manager and other staff in the daily running of mental health services
* To assist the Director and Registered Manager and other staff in maintaining the identified principles and standards of care and support.
* To maintain the staff code of practice issued by Skills for Care
* To assist in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating clients' individual care and support plans, including risk assessments.
* To dispense prescribed medication to clients
* To assist in maintaining accurate and appropriate documentation
* To undertake infection control training and uphold infection control standards
* To assist in meal preparation/serving for clients
* To support clients with social activities
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a Level 2 or 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care (essential)
* Has previous experience working in a Mental Health residential care role (essential)
* Possesses a full, clean UK Driving Licence and access to their own vehicle (essential)
* Is willing to undertake training (e.g. Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, Infection Control, Medication and other mandatory training)
* Communicates effectively and works well in a team
* Can work independently with a positive attitude and food time management skills
