ROLE: Operations Technician Team Leader
HOURS: Staggered work pattern, 10‑day fortnight to include alternate weekends

We're looking for an Operations Technician Team Leader who will install, operate and maintain Mobile Separation Equipment while leading and supporting a team of Operations Technicians.
Role Responsibilities
* To install, operate and maintain our range of Mobile Separation Equipment.
* Optimise machine settings to achieve desired processing parameters.
* Assist with scheduling of shifts for our teams of Operations Technicians.
* Assist sales department with customer visits and surveys after completion of training.
* Willing to develop yourself to become fully experienced.
* Undertake the routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of our rental fleet.
* To liaise with customers and arrange PPM visits.
* Liaise with our Service Engineers to create and maintain a service history register of our equipment.
* First point of contact for our teams of Operations Technicians reporting process and technical issues.
* Assist the Senior Process Technician with training and mentoring our own, and customers, staff in the correct operation and maintenance of our equipment.
* To assist Service Engineers at the Sludge TEK workshop and at times on site.
* Supervise and train subcontract operator labour.
* Compile, understand and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to undertaking installation, operating and service work.
Required Qualifications
* Plant operator; must have an understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment.
* Must be able to work unsupervised, sometimes at remote sites.
* Process experience; relevant experience in the water/wastewater or process industry.
* Flexible; must be willing to adapt to changing requirements to meet customer demands.
* Customer focused; must be able to communicate at all levels and gain the trust and respect of customers.
* Able to work away from home for periods of up to 10 days (depending on shift pattern).
* Shift work; able to commit to changing shift patterns to meet customer requirements such as staggered starts and night shifts.
* Driving licence; must have a full, ideally clean driving licence for manual vehicles.
* Forklift and/or Telehandler licence an advantage but not essential.
* Mechanically minded, mature and well organised; engineering environment experience would be preferred but is not essential.
* Computer and general literacy; must be able to compile service and visit reports and be able to use MS Word, Outlook and Excel software.
