Head of Digital
Duration: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Black Country (Hybrid working)
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Circa £75,000 per annum, + excellent benefits package (best in class pension scheme & generous annual leave allowance included)
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the organisation’s digital strategy, aligning digital, IT, and data initiatives with business goals
* Drive digital transformation and innovation, setting a clear vision and prioritising opportunities for maximum efficiency and ROI
* Apply commercial and technical expertise to optimise existing systems and introduce new, value-driven technology solutions
* Embed a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and agile delivery across the organisation
* Champion the use of automation, AI, and emerging technologies, ensuring ethical, legal, and sustainable implementation
* Develop and manage innovation frameworks from ideation to MVP and commercialisation, with strong UX/UI and user-centred design
* Engage and influence stakeholders, building a collaborative innovation community and representing digital at a senior level
* Deliver transformation programmes and embed product ownership to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth
Requirements
* Strategic digital leader with proven experience driving organisational growth, transformation, and impact through technology and data
* Extensive experience leading large‑scale digital and information services within complex organisations, providing both strategic and technical leadership
* Strong track record in delivering data‑driven transformation programmes, including managing large budgets and building high‑performing teams
* Deep understanding of software delivery, Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, DevOps), and emerging technologies to optimise business performance
This role is INSIDE IR35.
