We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Chorley from 2nd February. This is a full‑time position suitable for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contribute positively to a thriving English department.
The Role
* Deliver engaging and well‑structured English lessons that motivate and challenge learners.
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, preparing pupils for GCSE English Language and Literature.
* Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and create a supportive learning environment.
* Plan, assess, and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all students.
* Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development, and whole‑school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT with a strong English specialism.
* A confident classroom practitioner with a passion for literature, language, and student progress.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Reliable, committed, and able to hit the ground running.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
