Warehouse/Stores Supervisor needed for our Stoke on Trentbased client. Your Role Reporting to Head of Operations Lead and supervise the Component Stores Warehouse / Goods in department. Carry out the day-to-day stores activities, including the storing away and picking of components either to or from stores locations. Cover Goods Inwards duties when required. Log all movements in the appropriate bay locations on the individual sheet as well as entering transfers in the warehouse stock record spreadsheet and Priority system. Ensure all activities follow appropriate health and safety guidelines. Identifying opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach using LEAN manufacturing methods. Generate all relevant/required reports/statistics/Information, using appropriate manual and IT systems. Liaise with Production Managers and Planning team to manage all discrepancies/issues with order picks and stock. Offering suggestions for efficiency improvements as part of the overall business strategy. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and support the training of staff when necessary. Unload or assist with unloading of GI product when required Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous GI/Stock Control experience Good product/component knowledge. (on job training) Hands on approach and can-do attitude Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to meet deadlines. Counterbalance and reach forklift license (essential) Your Background Stores Stock Control experience Competent in relevant IT systems, eg Microsoft office Forklift Trained
