We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Domestic Violence case worker to join our team. Full training provided
Role Overview:
As a case worker, you will play a key role in supporting survivors of domestic abuse by managing case details, preparing legal documentation, and liaising with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of family law, possibly gained by working with family law firm or domestic violence charities, and strong IT skills. This role requires the ability to handle sensitive information with empathy and professionalism, especially under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Case Management Systems: Enter and update victims' details in our case management system (CMS) accurately and efficiently.
* Documentation Organisation: Organise and manage documentation related to civil protection orders and other legal matters.
* Victim Assessment: Speak with victims to assess their eligibility for court orders and legal aid, ensuring their needs are met.
* Witness Statements: Prepare witness statements for court applications (full training will be provided).
* Liaison: Coordinate with solicitors, domestic abuse professionals, and police to facilitate the legal process and ensure comprehensive support for victims. Full training provided
* IT Skills: Utilise Outlook, Word and Dropbox to manage communications and documentation effectively.
* Pressure Management: Handle multiple tasks and priorities under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and empathy.
