Overview
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 10:00 - 19:00 (but this is up for discussion).
Responsibilities
* Planning, inspecting, and carrying out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and responding to breakdowns in a timely fashion.
* Carry out reactive and planned services in a range of environments from offices, commercial, distribution and industrial premises.
* Carrying out statutory inspection of assets including Emergency Lighting, Water Temperature checks, Fire Door inspection and repairs, Plumbing repairs, Lighting checks including basic replacements and other minor reactive works.
* Being an ambassador for the customer; dealing professionally with complaints and queries.
* Support engineer subcontractors upon attending site and provide technical guidance to the client and contract support.
* Carrying out minor building fabric repairs and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and in line with Health & Safety legislation.
* Upkeep of site documentation and carrying out general maintenance and statutory compliance checks with basic plumbing, electrical and fabric maintenance skills, ideally in a facilities management environment.
* Engage with clients to understand needs, maintain a smart appearance, and manage expectations; contribute to quotations and material planning.
* Ideal candidates will have C&G/NVQ qualifications as applicable, electrical discipline preferred, and IT literacy to a good standard (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
Qualifications and Skills
* Ideal C&G Qualified in electrical discipline.
* NVQ 2 or relevant higher-level qualification in a building discipline.
* Experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, redecoration tasks and statutory ppm inspections with a good understanding of Health & Safety practices.
* Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes.
* Experience completing risk assessments and method statements; ability to issue permits to work for hard service tasks.
* Experience using BMS system; knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 desirable.
* Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems.
* Full UK driving license required as use of company vehicle may be needed.
