Milk Education are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant – Southend-on-Sea (SS0) to work within a supportive and inclusive secondary school near Leigh-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Learning Support Assistant – Southend-on-Sea who is passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs and helping young people succeed academically and emotionally.
The Learning Support Assistant – Southend-on-Sea role is ideal for aspiring teachers, psychologists, or education professionals seeking meaningful Education and Training experience. You will work closely with pupils requiring additional behavioural and emotional support, contributing to improved engagement, attainment, and attendance.
You will be joining a secondary school serving a community with high levels of disadvantage, where inclusion, wellbeing, and staff development are key priorities. What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
1. Supporting pupils in lessons across a range of subjects
2. Delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions where needed
3. Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
4. Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and attendance
Essential Qualifications:
5. Previous experience working with children or young people
6. A proactive, adaptable, and supportive approach in the classroom
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills
8. An interest in progressing within Education and Training
