Role description

Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Cybersecurity Validation Engineer to be based at our customer's site in Gaydon on a hybrid basis.
Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
Key responsibilities:
· Validating SecOC and IPsec products at system level
· Executing Secure Communication test cases in HIL rigs, VITAL rigs, labcars
· Manual test execution
· Support in automation of test cases
· Designing meaningful test cases for SecComm products such as SecOC and IPsec
· Generate test reports
· Support ECU test teams in their testing of SecComms products, if any issues arise
Required skills & experience:
· Experienced in automotive test, validation activities
· Experience with Vector CANoe - configuration, execution and CAPL
· Capable of working with and configuring security test tools
· Strong knowledge of SOME/IP
· Basic Knowledge of IPsec protocol
· Knowledge of Ethernet communication stack
· Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts
· Strong technical, communication and analytical abilities
· Ability to produce timely, logical and concise work products
· Ability to work effectively independently, in a team or collaborative environment
· Knowledge of ECUs, embedded systems
· Minimum Bachelors degree level education in a technological engineering or computer science
Advantageous skills:
· Experience in automotive test development (keywords – AutoSAR, IPsec, SecOC, CAN and CAN-FD,
· automotive Ethernet, QNX and so on)
· C language experience
· Experience with SecOC and/or IPsec and/or any automotive security controls
· Experience with network protocols analysis
· Experience with debuggers
· Experience with embedded systems analysis
