Now is an exciting time to join MCS; especially as we have recently launched the redevelopment of the Scheme, which has a greater focus on consumer protections, quality workmanship, and dispute resolution. 2025 was a record-breaking year for the small-scale renewables industry in terms of installation volumes and we look forward to continuing our vital role in driving forward the UK's progress towards Net Zero.

*Digital Team*
You’ll be joining a new and growing Digital function that is central to MCS’s transformation. The team is responsible for delivering and supporting the systems that underpin our operations; from Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and the MCS Installations Database to our wider Azure and Power Platform environment.
We work across every part of the organisation, partnering with colleagues in Customer Experience, Scheme Management, Standards & Technical and core shared services to ensure digital tools meet real business needs. Our role is to take forward ideas and requirements as a key part of the wider programmes and projects that MCS is committed to, making sure requirements are tested and validated, and subsequently embed in ways that staff can rely on every day.
The Digital team is all about execution and delivery. We focus on turning concepts into working solutions, driving innovation by supporting discovery, testing new functionality, and ensuring that changes are successfully adopted across the business. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and working closely with others to make digital systems deliver real impact, you’ll fit right in.
*What we’re looking for in you:*
We’re looking for someone who loves making digital systems work beautifully for the people who use them. You’re curious, practical, and unafraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done. You take pride in turning ideas into working solutions, whether that’s testing a new feature, mapping out a process, or helping a colleague solve a tricky system issue.
You don’t need to be a coder, but you do need to be tech-savvy, comfortable learning new tools, and confident navigating Microsoft’s digital toolkit. You’ll need to be organised, detail-focused, and able to explain technical things in plain English.
You’ll thrive here if you:
* Enjoy digging into how systems and processes work - and spotting ways to make them better
* Like variety and being part of a small, collaborative team that’s shaping MCS’s digital future
* Take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and keep things moving
* Stay calm, positive, and professional when things get busy (or when technology misbehaves!)
* Care about the bigger picture - helping MCS improve quality, protect consumers, and support the UK’s journey to Net Zero
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear more about why you're excited to join our team.
*Overview of role*
As a Digital Systems Analyst, you’ll play a hands-on role supporting the delivery, testing, and day-today operation of MCS’s digital systems.
You’ll be joining MCS at a pivotal time as we modernise our core systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, the MCS Installations Database, and the Microsoft Power Platform, to create a more agile, data-driven organisation that underpins the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
You will support MCS’s digital transformation by helping ensure new digital tools deliver real operational value. Working closely with the Digital Applications Manager, you’ll contribute to discovery activities, help document business needs and processes, test new functionality, run user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshoot issues, manage system access, and support colleagues across MCS in getting the most from our systems.
From supporting early solution discussions through to post go-live support and system rollouts, you’ll help ensure digital change translates into practical improvements for staff, installers, and consumers.
This is a role focused on practical delivery and operational excellence. You’ll help turn agreed ideas and requirements into working solutions, supporting documentation, testing, implementation, and day-to-day system operation. Your work will help ensure our digital tools are reliable, well adopted, and add measurable value across MCS.
The Digital Systems Analyst focuses on supporting the delivery and operational effectiveness of agreed digital solutions, working under the direction of the Digital Applications Manager and alongside future specialist roles as the Digital function continues to grow.
*Key responsibilities:*
* Assist the Digital Applications Manager during discovery and design phases by providing system insight, validating feasibility, and preparing supporting materials to inform solution design discussions
* Assist with system testing and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure they meet business needs.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance.
* Monitor daily usage of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related systems, identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, and logging support tickets for resolution.
* Provide practical, hands-on support to colleagues by answering system queries, delivering guidance, and helping resolve day-to-day issues.
* Track, prioritise, and follow up on bugs and issues with external partners, ensuring timely fixes and clear communication back to the business.
* Contribute to release readiness by testing functionality, creating documentation, and supporting colleagues during rollouts and new deployments.
* Produce clear user guides, process notes, and quick-reference documentation to help staff use systems effectively.
* Reporting on records and data integrity within Dynamics CRM and associated reporting tools, supporting data-driven decision making.
* Collaborate with other teams and the Digital Applications Manager to deliver digital projects, ensuring solutions are tested, adopted, and embedded effectively across MCS
