Sheridan Maine is partnering with a reputable Kent-based business to find a talented Management Accountant for a 9–12-month maternity cover. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance department and contribute to the smooth operation of their financial functions.
Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include:
1. Developing annual budget schedules with detailed income and expenditure analysis.
2. Producing termly management accounts with variance analysis and projections.
3. Identifying and reporting significant variances, proposing corrective actions.
4. Coordinating the annual closedown and preparing accurate outturn figures.
5. Supporting the audit process with necessary documentation.
6. Evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency.
7. Maintaining daily accounting systems, ensuring accurate transaction recording.
8. Managing month-end processes for timely reporting.
9. Reconciling control accounts monthly.
10. Assisting with monthly payroll entries and debtor management.
11. Supporting purchase processes and supplier relationship management.
12. Monitoring service contracts and utility costs.
13. Providing cost analysis and expenditure tracking.
14. Producing cash flow forecasts and managing bank accounts.
15. Advising on investment policies and asset management.
16. Supporting various projects as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
* CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified or part-qualified.
* Strong understanding of financial and commercial matters.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Practical, systematic, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
