About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Transport Planner to join our Clients team. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating transport operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and schedule routes for drivers and vehicles.
* Monitor transport operations to ensure timely deliveries.
* Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including driver hours and vehicle maintenance.
* Optimize routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
* Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
