Thrive Group is delighted to be working with our client in Westbury, who is actively looking to employ a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and liaising with internal departments, you will be responsible for raising purchase orders for raw materials and related products based on supplier lead times.
1. Cross-reference POs with order confirmations (price, delivery date, product, etc.).
2. Contact suppliers to improve delivery dates to meet production requirements.
3. Book deliveries with the warehouse.
4. Monitor stock levels on site and at supplier sites.
5. Conduct stock counting of raw materials/accessories in production.
What you will need to succeed:
* Excellent communication skills and highly organized.
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
* Good IT skills, including MS Office and manufacturing control systems.
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
What you will receive in return:
* £25,000 per annum
* Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 16:30; Friday, 09:00 to 16:00 — 34.5 hours per week
