Senior Civil Engineer Leicester Are you an experienced Senior Civil Engineer looking to take technical ownership and play a key role in shaping a growing Leicester office? This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with strong highways and drainage expertise who enjoys leading projects and mentoring others. You will be joining a respected civil engineering consultancy delivering residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the region. This Senior Civil Engineer role involves close working with a Director, offering exposure to decision-making, client relationships and progression toward Chartership if not already achieved. The role As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead the delivery of civil infrastructure design while supporting the development of junior engineers. Key responsibilities include: * Leading detailed design of highways, junctions, drainage and earthworks * Delivering technical submissions for S38, S278 and S104 approvals * Overseeing design quality and mentoring junior and intermediate engineers * Liaising with clients, local authorities, contractors and statutory bodies * Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, technical reports and feasibility input * Supporting early-stage viability work and contributing to fee proposals About you This role suits a confident Senior Civil Engineer ready to lead. You will ideally have: * A degree in Civil Engineering with 8 years' UK consultancy experience * Strong AutoCAD skills with experience using Civils 3D and drainage software * Good knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets and adoption standards * Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills * Chartered status or active progression toward professional accreditation Eligibility to Apply Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
