We're representing a well-established and growing engineering firm based in Chesterfield that designs, manufactures, installs, and services bespoke lifting and handling equipment. Following a recent acquisition of a specialist manufacturer of multi-directional forklift trucks, the company is expanding its service team and now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Forklift Service Engineer to join their operation. As a Forklift Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing forklifts both at customer sites across the UK and within the company's factory. You'll be provided with a fully equipped company van and will work independently or as part of a small, supportive service team. You'll receive comprehensive product training and ongoing support but will also be expected to manage your own workload, meet deadlines, and uphold the company's high standards of workmanship and safety. Job Overview Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs on forklifts and lifting equipment Perform preventative maintenance and thorough examinations Work in accordance with issued RAMS and company procedures Liaise with site managers and customers to ensure efficient service delivery Manage van stock and coordinate with the parts department Job Requirements Strong mechanical background with solid diagnostic skills Experience with forklifts, agricultural, or industrial trucks Knowledge of hydro-electrical circuits Computer literate and confident using diagnostic tools Excellent communication and customer service skills Full UK driving licence Based within commutable distance of Chesterfield Willingness to learn new skills and expand existing knowledge Salary & Benefits £16.00 - £17.50 per hour, depending on experience Plenty of overtime available 39-hour week, Monday to Friday (no weekend or evening callouts) 24 days annual leave bank holidays Company bonus and pension scheme Ongoing training and development opportunities Supportive, team-focused working environment Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
