The Post:
This is a full time post attracting 10PAs.
Example of Weekly Commitment:
Theatre Operating 2-3 PAs
Outpatient Clinic 3 PA’s
MDT 1 PA
Admin 1.25 PA
SPA 1.5 PA’s
1. The job plan will include 1.5 SPAs
2. The post will have appropriate secretarial support and office space within the secretariat.
3. The post will include some flexible working but will incorporate identified fixed sessions in which to take a half day.
4. The applicant will be expected to work across both Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital sites

Qualifications
Essential criteria
5. Full GMC registration
6. FRCS or equivalent
7. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within six months of the date of the Advisory Appointments Committee
8. FRCS or equivalent, Affiliation to one of the Royal Colleges
Desirable criteria
9. MD/MS or equivalent
10. Member of relevant Specialist Society
Experience
Essential criteria
11. Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Breast Surgery at Specialist Registrar level
12. Ability to offer expert clinical opinion within all aspects of Breast Disease & Management
13. Validated training logbook of index breast procedures
14. Ability to demonstrate competence in index breast interventions
15. Competent in breast reconstruction and reduction
16. Ability to obtain diagnostic quality breast cytology and core biopsy samples
Desirable criteria
17. Oncoplastic fellowship
18. Experience in performing chest wall perforator flaps
19. Familiarity with recruitment into national breast clinical trials
20. Experience in breast ultrasound
21. Demonstrates experience and awareness outside speciality
22. Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates and post graduates
