Assistant Management Accountant Arc Partnership is a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) and SCAPE. Formed in 2016 to support the council in creating an efficient, safe, and sustainable land and property portfolio. We deliver multi- disciplinary property design, consultancy, master planning, regeneration, project/programme management, construction, emergency, reactive, compliance asset management and planned services on behalf of Nottingham County Council Your new role: We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join our in-house Finance Team to support the production of financial and management reports. What you’ll do: As the Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll report directly to the Head of Finance. You’ll support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including job costing, WIP analysis and project profitability. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes. Assist with budgeting and forecasting process. Prepare and analyse cost value reconciliation (CVR) reports for review by senior Finance & Commercial staff. Help coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with industry-specific financial regulations. Prepare quarterly VAT returns. What you’ll bring: You’ll already hold (or be working towards) a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc.) You’ll have experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role. Ability to interpret and present financial data. Ability to explain financial information in plain language. Experience of using SAP, Oracle, & Sage. Excellent Excel skills including VLOOKUPS, pivot tables and formulas.
