Overview
MLD Teacher role at Targeted Provision. SEN / SEND Tutors for young people with SEND, SEMH and other Additional Educational Needs in Worcestershire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.
The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* This role involves providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD), or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.
* Young people are referred to us by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey.
* Your role is to provide flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each session of teaching / tutoring / mentoring.
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet needs and progress their educational and social-emotional journey.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS).
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience.
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs.
* Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes.
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed).
* Two professional references.
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments.
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise.
* You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE.
* We do not offer any set amount of work nor expenses coverage.
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us.
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position.
