Overview
Brotherton & Byram Community Primary Academy are looking to recruit a Receptionist Administrator to work in their busy school office 12.5 hours per week. These hours will be as follows: Wednesday 8.30am - 11.30am, Thursday 8.30am - 11.30am and Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm, during the school term time. This is a fixed term position until 31st July 2026.
Responsibilities
* Provide efficient administration in the school office, working closely with the Senior Administrator and the Operation Business Partner.
* Be the welcoming and efficient first point of contact for parents and visitors to the school, at the front desk, on the telephone, or by email.
* Use a variety of IT systems to record school data, produce reports, and generate letters and other communications.
* Record and monitor pupil absences and report on this as appropriate.
* Support and maintain office systems and processes to ensure the smooth running of the school.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience as an Administration Assistant or similar and ability to manage systems and processes in a busy environment.
* Confident and capable user of various IT systems and willingness to learn and operate additional software packages.
* Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and special educational needs is desirable; not essential.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to providing good customer service.
* Understanding of keeping children safe and ability to uphold school values.

Role Details
* Working hours: Wednesday 8.30am - 11.30am, Thursday 8.30am - 11.30am, Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (half an hour unpaid lunch break); term time only.
* Salary: £24,769-£25,583; Actual salary £7,241-£7,479.
* Fixed term until 31st July 2026.
