Finance Site Lead – Turn Insight into Action and Shape Site Performance
Our Finance Site Lead will play a central role in driving performance at site, partnering closely with operations to turn financial insight into meaningful action. This is a highly visible role where finance isn’t just reporting the numbers; it’s shaping decisions, influencing outcomes, and improving how the site performs day to day.
Working at the heart of the operation, you’ll lead the site finance team while collaborating with the Head of Operations and wider leadership to challenge thinking, unlock efficiencies, and deliver sustainable improvements.
This role is based onsite in Malton, 5 days a week.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a site-based finance team focused on insight and operational efficiency
* Partner with the Head of Operations to identify opportunities, challenge costs, and improve margin
* Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and support CI reporting and review cycles
* Ensure strong financial control, audit readiness, and statutory compliance
* Drive cost-reduction initiatives and support capex and project appraisals
* Work cross-functionally to embed finance into daily operational performance
* Provide clear, actionable insight to support decision‑making at all levels
The Ideal Candidate
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with experience in management accounting or operational finance
* Experienced in leading and developing finance teams in a fast‑paced environment
* A confident communicator, able to influence and challenge across all levels
* Highly capable in Excel and comfortable working across ERP systems
* Commercially focused, with a strong understanding of how finance drives performance
* Proactive and hands‑on, with a focus on continuous improvement and detail
* Comfortable operating close to the shop floor and within an operational setting
