YOUR ROLE
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Quick Time Critical Team in Staines. Our Quick team at Kuehne+Nagel provides comprehensive logistics solutions for Automotive, High-tech, Industrial and Oil & Gas industries. The team is responsible for providing white glove solutions that meet or exceed the customers expectation, including both internal and external customers. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Our 24-month Apprenticeship programme is designed to provide you with the perfect blend of practical on-the-job training and study towards the International Freight Forwarding Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.
As part of the team, you will be providing operational support to clients and the rest of the team in order to ensure that our customer expectations are met/exceeded. You will be in communication with a variety of people, including overseas customers and agents. It is a varied role and your training will equip you to be involved in problem solving, finance tracking and supporting the department with their day-to-day duties.
You'll be learning how to
Establishing the best transport solution, Express Air, Charter, Hand carry or Road
Complete Customs checks
Providing quotations and gaining 3rd party costings
Taking booking details, arranging collections/deliveries
Tracing and tracking of all shipments and keeping customers up to date with a pro-active mentality.
Support 24/7/365 operations and service delivery
Respond to 'Problem Pieces' and ensure redistribution is arranged in accordance with required standards
Use computer systems with numerous applications
To deal with internal and external customer queries in a timely and efficient manner.
To always provide a high level of customer service whilst ensuring compliance and performance targets are met in line with company processes and procedures.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 - 9 / A*-D including Maths & English)
Our company values candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and can communicate effectively with others. Good planning and organization skills is important, and you will need the ability to multitask and be a self-starter. Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
Please be aware that this vacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and for apprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years.
This position requires enhanced security clearance checks and by applying for this role you are agreeing to participate in the employment screening process. This is an entry level training position.
