The role The Product Development team plays a pivotal role in delivering the overall digital experience for customers, consumers and colleagues underpinning the Rightmove business. We work collaboratively across a mix of product and centralised teams, together working towards Rightmove's strategy. The Application Analyst role sits within one of our Internal Product Teams providing digital solutions to Rightmove's internal teams. The role is an important part of one of our SCRUM product teams working with the Product Owner, Software and QA Engineers within the team to analyse business problems, design and deliver technical solutions. The Application Analyst will deliver technical solutions through configuration of business applications (either third party or developed by Rightmove) and low-code solutions to meet Rightmove's users' and business needs. The Application Analyst role reports to the Business Systems Manager and works closely with other application and platform engineers, Product Owners, Architects and Operations team members A typical week as an Application Analyst might involve: Spending time with Rightmove's teams to identify and understand where your technology delivery capabilities can help them solve challenges and leverage opportunities Attending meetings with the Product Owner, Software Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers in your product team to discuss a business challenge and how you will work together to solve it. Regularly sharing your progress with the rest of your product team and the eventual end users to get constant feedback on the solution that you are delivering Assisting the team with testing work developed by the Software Engineers in your team to meet a sprint deadline Using scripts to extract some data from Rightmove's databases to make an evidenced-based decision on pro's and con's of different solution designs Building low-code workflows and customisations within our CRM system to improve sales enablement Writing SQL to modify data within Rightmove's business applications Develop and maintain efficient slide deck automation templates to streamline the operational efficiency of our Account Managers Using the UiPath Robotic Process Automation platform to automate manual tasks around the organisation We're looking for someone who: Is a creative and logical problem-solver who is passionate about using technology to solve problems Enjoys working directly with the eventual users of their solutions Can communicate and question end users clearly to establish precisely what is needed Enjoys debating the merits of potential solutions with their team Challenges their team on direction when they don't understand or agree, even when the area you are working in is new to them Takes ownership and responsibility for the work, and the quality thereof, they and their team deliver Asks questions and uses the experience of those around them Looks to share their knowledge and skills both in and outside their direct team Can manage and prioritise tasks with a sense of urgency Has the ability to deliver at pace in an agile environment, focused on continuous improvement We're looking for someone who has: Intermediate to advanced skills in tools such as Microsoft Excel or Access Experience learning how a software platform works and using that knowledge to deliver change A working level of understanding of SQL A track record of learning new technologies Confidence manipulating and extracting insight from large datasets We would love to find someone who: Has a history of improving internal processes Understands BPMN and be able to design and develop efficient workflows Has experience building and configuring low code functionality in CRM systems such as SugarCRM or Salesforce Can build robots using a tool such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism Has experience of using collaborations tools such as Confluence and JIRA or similar Has previously worked in an Agile or Scrum team About Rightmove Our vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move.
