As the new Residential Care Worker, you will be emotionally strong and driven to make a difference daily. Most importantly, you will understand our children and their backgrounds, ensuring their needs are prioritized. You should be approachable and detail-oriented, ensuring children’s safety and full compliance with protocols and regulations.

The working day can be unpredictable, involving organizing activities in the morning and providing 1:1 support in the afternoon.

As a Children’s Residential Care Worker, you will be involved in all aspects of daily life, making a positive impact that is immeasurable.
Shift pattern: 16- or 24-hour shifts (including sleep-in) on a one-on-two or two-on-four basis.
Here is what a typical day might look like:
The young people range from ages 8-18 with various behavioral and emotional needs.
Duties include:
* Delivering high-quality care
* Providing guidance, support, and structure
* Supporting engagement with education
* Promoting healthy lifestyles and positive choices
* Accessing clinically led training for skill development
* Household duties
* Record keeping and report writing
* Organizing social outings
* Attending contacts, visits, key work meetings, and therapy sessions
* Providing transport for activities
Requirements: Must hold a full UK driving license.
Desirable but not essential: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, experience in therapeutic environments, educational support skills, leadership experience, higher qualifications.
