PCB Inspector
Hourly rate: £ 14.75
Location: Andover
Hours: Monday - Thursday: 1pm – 11pm
As an PCB Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection and testing of high-reliability PCB assemblies (PCBA) for some of the UK’s most advanced sectors – including Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, and Defence. You will use a mix of automated testing equipment and visual inspection techniques to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
PCB Inspector Responsibilities:
* Perform production test and inspection of PCB assemblies
* Conduct inspections under microscope and via camera systems
* Calibrate and maintain inspection and testing equipment
* Investigate and report on visual defects and customer returns
* Communicate effectively with SMT and soldering teams on any quality concerns
* Maintain documentation and adhere to internal quality procedures and standards
* Comply with company Health & Safety policies, hygiene standards, and IT/data protocols
PCB Inspector Requirements:
* Prior experience in a production or manufacturing inspection role
* Confident using microscopes and visual inspection tools
* Good communication and team working skills
* Basic computer literacy (reporting, inspection software)
* High attention to detail and a methodical approach
Desirable
* Background in PCB or electronics assembly inspection
* Experience with automated test systems (AOI, FPT, QUINS, X-Ray)
* Qualifications in Electronics or Engineering
* Familiarity with IPC standards and documentation
