About the Role:
As the Director of Learning - Computer Science & IT, you will:
1. Lead and inspire a dedicated team of Computer Science and IT educators.
2. Develop and implement a forward-thinking curriculum that integrates emerging technologies and prepares students for the digital future.
3. Drive excellence in teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
4. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and academic rigor within the department.
5. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental objectives with the school's strategic vision.
6. Oversee the integration of AI and other cutting-edge technologies into the curriculum.
7. Manage departmental resources effectively to support high-quality education.
Candidate Requirements:
* A degree-level qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience in leading a Computer Science or IT department, with a track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for digital education.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
