Job Description
We support young people who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Tutor, you'll provide 1:1 tuition, helping learners re-engage with education and achieve their potential.
As a Tutor, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
* Record student progress and report on this weekly.
* Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
* Record attendance.
* Be organised, dependable and creative.
* Be calm, fair and adaptable.
About you:
* Nurturing and caring nature
* Patient, kind and understanding
* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
* Organised
* Comfortable to support secondary aged pupils with English, Maths and possibly Science too or comfortable to Mentor young people.
* Have experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
+ Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide references upon request
* Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
