Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. Responsibilities
* Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met.
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
* Supporting the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts.
* Ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
* Restocking supplies and ensuring all items are stored appropriately to maintain an organised workspace.
* Assisting with the setup and breakdown of service areas before and after meal periods.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* Familiarity with food preparation, cooking processes, or culinary environments is desirable.
* Experience working in busy kitchens or supporting culinary teams will be beneficial.
* Knowledge of hygiene standards within food service environments is preferred but can be developed on the job.
* A positive attitude towards teamwork and willingness to learn new skills are essential qualities for success in this role. Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
