Senior Platform Engineer (DV Cleared)
Salary: Upward of £80,000, plus DV bonus
Clearance: Active DV required
Location: Corsham (Onsite)
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with active DV clearance to help design, build, and operate highly secure, modern platform environments. This is a hands‑on senior role offering real ownership of platform engineering, automation, and reliability within complex, high‑assurance settings.
The role
You will play a key role in enabling engineering teams by providing secure, scalable, and highly available platforms. Working across the full platform lifecycle, you’ll influence architecture decisions, improve operational resilience, and ensure platforms are built with security and compliance at their core.
Key responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain secure cloud‑based platform infrastructure
* Own and improve platform reliability, performance, and availability
* Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks
* Build and support CI/CD pipelines for consistent and secure delivery
* Embed security‑by‑design across all platform services
* Support engineering teams using the platform and resolve complex issues
* Contribute to platform standards, tooling, and best engineering practice
Technical requirements
You will have strong, hands‑on experience with most of the following:
Cloud & Infrastructure
* AWS or Azure
* Production cloud environments
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM or similar)
Containers & Platforms
* Docker
* Kubernetes or managed services (EKS / AKS)
* Designing scalable and resilient platforms
CI/CD & Automation
* CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
* Scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar
* Git‑based version control
Operations & Security
* Monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
* Incident management and root‑cause analysis
* Secure engineering practices, including IAM and secrets management
Clearance requirement
* Active DV (Developed Vetting) clearance is mandatory
* Clearance must be valid prior to starting
* The role includes a DV bonus in addition to base salary
