Your future role

Join our Voyager/Meridian Fleet Reliability team, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing train performance and safety. As a key contributor, you will work closely with Operations and Engineering to proactively detect and diagnose train defects, preparing corrective repair information before issues escalation into failures.

Your analytical skills will be essential in interpreting remote data and technical documentation to generate work orders or enrich existing incident reports, ensuring effective fault resolution. Additionally, you will manage and resolve issues arising from the analysis of train system health data, contributing to our commitment to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

We’ll look to you for:

* Ownership and close-out of issues arising from automated real time alarms and alerts generated by both on and off train management and vehicle information computer systems
* Co-ordinate/support response from Fleet / Production teams @ Central Rivers & Birmingham control.
* Update engineering resources in order to mitigate the impact of emergent (predicted) and historic (reactive) system level failures by issuing pro-active maintenance advice i.e. fast response, repair and issue close-out.
* Provide information to the specialist engineering team for analysis, identification, automation, and validation of remote, data driven, failure modes.
* Use analytical tools, diagnostic systems available.
* Train and support production employee's process understanding, technical knowledge and competency.
* Liaise with all Stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvements in proactive, predictive, and automated failure analysis.
* Evaluate metrics, discover areas for improvement, take corrective actions, monitor and validate changes/upgrades.
* Create investigation reports when required

* Computer Literate – Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point and Sharepoint. Capability to use bespoke software tools to support reliability growth.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with all colleagues at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to identify, to assess and solve problems including the facilitation of root cause analysis (RCA).
* Experience of real time data monitoring and process evaluation; knowledgeable in statistical process control (SPC) tools and analysis.
