Job purpose

We are seeking a motivated and charismatic individual to join our admissions team on a full-time basis. This role will primarily focus on student recruitment, particularly engaging with prospective students from countries in Africa and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, be willing to travel to African and Middle Eastern countries regularly, and be fluent in Arabic, with fluency in other languages being desirable.

Beyond recruitment, this role involves maintaining strong relationships with the students you have recruited, as well as their families, once they join Ashbourne. The successful candidate will help ensure a cohort of 25 students from Africa and the Middle East at the college while fostering a welcoming environment.

About Ashbourne

Established over 40 years ago, Ashbourne is one of the top private colleges for A levels in the UK, known for exam results, individual attention, and excellent facilities.

Ethos and culture

At Ashbourne, there are no uniforms, no assemblies, and informal relations between teachers and students. Small classes encourage engagement and strong relationships. The college is selective, maintaining high academic standards, with a '100%' homework submission rule and a shared ethos of excellence.

About the College

It is a sixth form college with most students taking A levels, seeking a more mature educational environment with greater responsibility. The college offers a different approach to education, emphasizing informal relationships, academic excellence, and diverse extracurricular activities.

Academic performance

Consistently ranked among the top private colleges in London, in the top 5% by value-added.

Individual attention

Supported by small class sizes and personal tutors who monitor academic progress and liaise with students and parents.

Welfare

The college provides support and strictly enforces policies against bullying and abuse.

Location

Located near Kensington Gardens, within easy reach of London's cultural sites.

Ashbourne community

With 70% British and up to 50 nationalities, the college offers a vibrant, multicultural environment.

Academic opportunities

A wide range of subjects from arts and humanities to sciences and economics.

Extra-curricular opportunities

Including Model United Nations, astrophysics, dance, drama, music, and fashion.

Intensive courses

Offers 2-year A levels, one-year intensive, and 18-month courses for GCSE and A level students.

Scholarships

Provides generous scholarships, especially in music and drama.

Happiness

Supports student camaraderie, inclusivity, and finding individual niches.
