Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: England, East Midlands, Northamptonshire Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Secondary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £80 - £90 Per day Job Duties: Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. Assist the teacher in implementing individualised education plans for SEN students. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. Support students with their learning activities and encourage their participation in classroom tasks. Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor and track student progress. Assist in managing behaviour and implementing strategies to support students with SEN. Required Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience working with children or young people with SEN Understanding of SEN support strategies and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures related to SEN Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals Preferred Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Training in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques First Aid certification Working Conditions: Full-time position, working Monday to Friday during school hours Temporary role with the possibility of extension based on performance and school needs Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff Opportunity for professional development and training All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
