The Role
We are looking for an experienced and talented Maths Lecturer to join a dynamic and forward‑thinking team. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and confident in delivering both Maths at foundation level. You will play a key role in helping students gain essential qualifications for progression to further study, apprenticeships, or employment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons in GCSE at foundation level.
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners, including those resitting exams or with additional learning needs.
* Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify learner needs and support progress.
* Monitor and support learner progress, maintaining accurate records and providing timely feedback.
* Contribute to team meetings, curriculum development and continuous improvement.
* Support students in building confidence and competence in numeracy skills for everyday life and the workplace.
Educations, Skills and Requirements
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma) or willingness to achieve one.
* Degree in Maths or related subject.
* Enhanced DBS, or willing to apply for a DBS.
* Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
* A flexible and responsive approach to teaching in line with college needs.
