Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this position within the Tractor Product Engineering is to work in the Engine Installation Technical Module mainly in contact with manufacturing assembly line across different vehicle applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Resolve CPM profiles autonomously.
* Resolve and improve MFG (Manufacturing) profiles autonomously.
* Provide support to MFG, with presence in assembly line when required.
* CPI profiles (Improvements) – Ensures Engine Installation product performance improvement targets from initial design phase till implementation.
* Profile tracking – Supervise and track all Engine Installation profiles and activities and ensure solutions are delivered on time and implemented according to target assigned.
* Reporting – Capable to summarize STATUS of Engine Installation activities to Chief Engineer and other company stakeholders (F/100, ACPU, CPM profile STATUS, Timing etc.).
* Support and involvement Warranty reduction, Quality Improvement and De‑complexity activities.
* Develop and maintain all EI (Engine Installation) components (cooling package, ATS: After Treatment System, Fuel and AdBlue systems, FEAD: Front End and Accessory. Drive, air intake, etc.) according to CPM/CPI/MFG profiles closure.
* Define components characteristics according to vehicle performances expectation and DQP (Design Quality Procedure).
* Create and manage Product Request and Product Card.
* Interact with Engine and EI component suppliers to collect and share all technical information.
* Interact with vehicle team and EI technical designer specialists.
* Interact with Engine & After Treatment Engineering team.
* Create and manage EPPs (Engine Product Profile) according to Vehicle Chief Engineer and Platform requirements.
* Lead Design Analysis and Simulation (CFD, FEM) activities.
* Create and maintain TCAE 3D engine groups according to engine 3D models and 2D drawings provided by engine supplier.
* Manage and complete eBoM (engineering Bill of Material).
* Provide system schemes and homologation drawings if needed.
* Support all phases (Flexibility, Transition/Stockpile) needed in advance to new emission level strategy rollout implementation.
* Lead EI design reviews & D‑FMEA’s as requested.
* Lead and manage outsourced design resources if needed.
* Lead the discussion with suppliers (technical review) and be able to provide feedback.
* Lead vehicle team and EI specialists to be compliant with EI and ATS Guideline.
* Support prototype phase by Work Orders.
* Provide technical support to other company functions (Product Validation, Technical publication, etc.).
* Provide support to Manufacturing during trial to evaluate new solutions.
* Generate innovative ideas.
* Generate cost reduction ideas.
* Create and manage components libraries (share point).
Experience Required
* A mechanical engineering degree is desired.
* Experience with engine installation and related components (cooling package/FEAD, fuel systems, ATS, air intake system).
* Attitude to Problem solving (7steps management) and working to targets is essential.
* Experience in heavy duty applications (off‑road is preferred).
* Team Working and Problem‑Solving attitude.
* Experience and sensitivity with CFD analysis is desired.The candidate must be process oriented.
* Teamcenter 14 (TcAE), Tc Vis‑Mockup 14 (DMU Digital mockup) knowledge.
* Creo (ProE) 8.0 skill is required: the candidate should be able to arrange preliminary feasibility study, create and manage 3D and 2D CAD models/drawings, design plastic components (fan shroud, dust ejector, etc.), cooling components (cooling pipe, expansion tank), iron castings (compressor and SCR support, FAN pulley, etc.), engine belts, sheet metal stiffeners, brackets, general, air hoses (CAC lines), air ducts.
* Good English level, both written and spoken.
* Ability to travel around the territory, with some over‑night stays.
