Job Description
The Head of Global Agriculture is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and executing the global agriculture strategy, driving transformative change across our agricultural value chains. This role ensures a secure, resilient, and sustainable supply of high-quality ingredients, focusing primarily on processing tomatoes and other strategic crops. The leader will integrate agronomic excellence with commercial foresight and procurement insights to enhance capabilities worldwide—from seed development and agronomy protocols to grower partnerships and processing efficiencies (e.g., "seed-to-ketchup" optimization). Collaboration with agronomy professionals, procurement, operations, R&D, commercial, and sustainability departments is essential to achieve breakthroughs in productivity, sustainability, and grower prosperity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Agricultural Transformation: Design and implement a global agriculture strategy aligned with Kraft Heinz's business goals, enhancing performance, resilience, and sustainable sourcing for key crops.
2. Market and Commercial Integration: Collaborate with procurement and commercial teams to support market demands and optimize costs through strategic agricultural initiatives.
3. Crop Expertise: Serve as the technical authority on processing tomato cultivation and other key crops.
4. Regenerative Agriculture: Lead the global implementation of the Kraft Heinz Regenerative Agriculture Program to improve soil health, biodiversity, water use, and reduce GHG emissions.
5. Agronomy Excellence & Team Development: Lead and foster a high-performing, innovative, and collaborative team of agriculture professionals.
6. Sustainable Value Chain Development: Promote sustainable and regenerative practices across the company's agricultural footprint.
7. Innovation and R&D: Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and deploy innovative agricultural technologies and solutions.
8. Performance Monitoring: Implement data systems to track crop performance, sustainability KPIs, and grower economics.
9. Supply Chain Collaboration: Work with procurement to develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, risk, and sustainability.
10. External Partnerships: Build relationships with growers, research institutions, technology providers, and industry groups to promote regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree or equivalent in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Science, Economics, or related fields.
* 10+ years in agricultural management and field agronomy, with at least 5 years in international leadership roles.
* 5+ years of experience with processing tomato cultivation; experience with other crops is a plus.
* Strong commercial acumen in agricultural economics, value chains, procurement, and market dynamics.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills across diverse geographies and cultures.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or Turkish is advantageous.
* Willingness to travel extensively (30-50%).

Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary range: $159,400 - $199,200. Performance-based bonus eligibility. Benefits include healthcare, wellbeing programs, paid time off, and more, tailored to regional and role-specific needs.
