Summary
A UK energy consultancy are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead on the design and delivery of sustainable, electrical installations and embedded renewable energy systems for some major energy user clients across the UK.
Our client's solutions include power distribution upgrades, EV charging the electrification of heat and embedded renewable energy technologies, including rooftop Solar.
This is a new role born out of business growth and would suit someone who wants more autonomy and responsibilities than their role allows.
This role is hybrid, with some travel to the offices in West Yorkshire and travel to sites across the UK (all site travel paid for).
The role
* As Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting energy audits on sites across the UK, with the ultimate aim of reducing the energy spend across the commercial portfolio.
* You'll be the lead electrical design professional for the business, leading the design and delivery of electrical installations including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security, and data systems.
* You'll work alongside your mechanical engineer counterpart, and will consult and instruct design consultancies to put together a proposal to the client.
* You'll then oversee the delivery process of the energy efficiency measures installed on site.
* You'll conduct renewable energy reviews for Solar and Electric Vehicle projects on site.
About you
* Experience designing electrical systems for non-domestic buildings, including power distribution etc
* In-depth knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), relevant British Standards, and industry codes.
* Skilled in using design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical.
* Strong project management skills, including budget and timeline control.
* Ability to produce detailed technical specifications and project scopes
* Degree / HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* A keen interest in renewable energy solutions, including solar applications
* Competent in evaluating tender submissions for technical compliance, quality, and risk
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK
* A UK driving licence
