As our Digital Learning & Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in the design, delivery, and management of learning and development programmes, with a particular focus on supporting reception and administrative staff working across healthcare and primary care settings.

Post: Digital Learning & Training Coordinator (Fixed‑term, 1 year) – Full‑time – Salary: £13.60 per hour – Reference number: B0363‑25‑0042 – Location: The Old Post Office, No 2 The Esplanade, Rochdale, OL16 1AE.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage day‑to‑day operation of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, portal configuration, content uploads, and user support.
* Identify, troubleshoot and resolve system issues; generate and analyse LMS reports to monitor learner progress, engagement and compliance.
* Design, develop and deliver engaging training content for reception and administrative staff, ensuring materials are accessible, practical and aligned with NHS and primary care standards.
* Develop and facilitate courses covering:
o Docman and workflow management
o Clinical coding (Read/SNOMED)
o New to GP reception / induction for new starters
o Dealing with difficult or aggressive patients
o Confidentiality and information governance
o Chaperone responsibilities
o Customer service and communication skills
o Telephone triage and appointment management
o Safeguarding awareness
o Equality, diversity and inclusion
* Deliver courses both virtually and in‑person, adapting delivery style to maximise engagement and inclusivity.
* Create and maintain high‑quality digital learning resources (PowerPoint, video, interactive PDFs, quizzes, case studies).
* Perform regular quality checks on all digital materials and test new e‑learning technologies to enhance learner engagement.
* Provide technical support during live online training sessions, managing audio/visual setup, breakout rooms, polls and Q&A.
* Manage post‑course communications, feedback surveys and follow‑up learning activities to continually improve programmes.
* Ensure all courses meet statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements; coordinate updates to the training matrix and maintain compliance records.
* Maintain accurate training records, produce reports and management information to support the Learning and Development function.
Skills & Experience
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
* Strong IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
* Experience designing, developing and delivering training content, both online and face‑to‑face.
* Previous administration experience in a busy, customer‑focused environment.
* Strong organisational, prioritisation and record‑keeping skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of reception/admin processes, including Docman, clinical coding, confidentiality, dealing with difficult patients and chaperone responsibilities.
Desirable
* Qualification in Education and Training, Learning and Development or a related area (e.g., Level 3 AET).
* Experience in primary care, NHS or healthcare education settings.
* Experience creating learning materials or coordinating CPD or staff development activities.
