This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with a strong analytical background to apply their skills in real-world projects that impact transport planning and policy. You will work with experienced professionals to develop and run transport models, analyse data, appraise policies and schemes and support the delivery of evidence-based solutions for clients across the UK. ABOUT US: CITY SCIENCE Key Responsibilities: Support the development and application of transport models (strategic, micro, and/or meso-level). Support in the appraisal of transport schemes, policies and strategies. Assist in the analysis of transport and travel data to inform planning decisions. Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations. Work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy. Engage with internal teams and external clients to support the delivery of projects on time and to budget. Essential Requirements A degree classification of 2.1, or above, in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, Data Science, or another related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with transport modelling principles and software would be beneficial (e.g. SATURN, VISUM, CUBE, EMME, Aimsun, or similar). Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or R. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Right to work in the UK and available to start immediately. Desirable Skills Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field. Experience with GIS tools (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS). Knowledge of UK transport planning policy and appraisal frameworks (e.g. TAG). Prior internship or project experience related to transport modelling, appraisal or data analysis beneficial.
