Position Overview


Amber Labs is on an exciting growth trajectory, and we are looking for an ambitious, experienced, and results-driven Account Director to join our team and contribute to our expansion plans. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in the Data, Governance, and Cloud Consultancy space, ideally gained at a System Integrator or a smaller technical consultancy. You should have a proven record of building and maintaining successful client relationships, consistently exceeding sales targets, and growing strategic accounts through exceptional business development and relationship management.


This role demands a strong analytical mindset, expert project management skills, and a goal-oriented approach, combined with outstanding leadership capabilities.


Key Responsibilities


* Own and manage a portfolio of strategic clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
* Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within your portfolio.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans, mapping client needs to company capabilities to exceed targets.
* Define and measure success through metrics, health scores, and KPIs for your accounts and any Account Managers under your leadership.
* Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, confidently navigating and influencing at C-Level.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and consulting, to deliver seamless solutions to clients.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
* Masterfully negotiate, resolve client issues, and apply customer-focused approaches to maintain outstanding relationships and close deals.
* Contribute to improving customer success processes, leveraging experience for team efficiency and effectiveness.
* Represent Amber Labs at industry events, enhancing our presence and staying ahead of trends.


Essential Skills


* Extensive experience in the technical consultancy industry, with a strong focus on account management and business development.
* Demonstrable track record of exceeding revenue targets, securing renewals, and successfully expanding accounts.


Desirable Skills and Qualifications


* Familiarity with selling into Government sectors, with a strong understanding of government procurement processes.
* Experience using Government procurement portals for bidding and proposal submission.
* Experience of both Direct and Indirect customer success models.
* Previous experience in a managerial role, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to drive a high-performance team.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently discuss complex matters at C-Level.
* Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving market conditions.
