Location: Holywood, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. This is a full‑time role with 37.5 hours per week.
Purpose Of The Job
The post holder will be required to perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds on site. This includes planned and reactive tasks, ensuring the site is kept safe, compliant, and operational at all times. The role requires a flexible, multi‑skilled operative with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to the evolving needs of the community.
In addition to hands‑on responsibilities, the post holder will be expected to support and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring that tasks are carried out effectively, safely, and to a high standard. This includes providing guidance, monitoring performance, and fostering a collaborative working environment. The post holder will also be required to participate in the mandatory on‑call Facilities rota system.

Details
Salary: £27,729 - £30,478 per annum. (£50 on‑call retainer)
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri, 8:30am to 4:30pm
Length of Contract: Permanent
Essential Criteria
* City & Guilds III / NVQ level 3 in Building Maintenance or other equivalent qualification in a relevant trade.
* CSR card holder or willingness to attain CSR card within 4 months of commencing post.
* A minimum of 5 years experience in a Maintenance/Building Trade related role.
* Ability to plan and prioritise maintenance works and meet deadlines where required.
Desirable Criteria
* A strong understanding of plumbing systems with specialized expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of biomass boilers.
* Other building works related skills such as tiling & grout, minor plastering, bricklaying, plumbing and carpentry, etc.
* Ability to manage documentation for reporting and maintain records.
