Rate: £415 p/d PAYE + 36 days annual leave // £565 p/d Umbrella
Job Purpose / Overview
Join one of the UK's most ambitious and prestigious infrastructure projects at Hinkley Point C. We're seeking an experienced Mechanically Biased Construction Delivery Manager with expertise in Mechanical HVAC, Piping, Stainless Steel Work, Welding, and Fabrication Construction to play a pivotal role in delivering this landmark project.
As part of the construction team, you will oversee and support activities in the field, ensuring the successful and efficient delivery of a designated section of works. You will report directly to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Principal Accountabilities
* Field Operations: Supervise and direct works on-site, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
* Safety First: Conduct regular inspections, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and proactively addressing concerns.
* Collaboration: Maintain open communication with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders, attending briefings and promoting a culture of teamwork.
* Progress Monitoring: Keep detailed site logs, prepare reports, and escalate issues to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager when necessary.
* Logistics Coordination: Assist in tactical logistics planning, ensuring seamless operations in collaboration with site-wide logistics teams.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Lead PLOD/PLOW meetings, providing clear and concise updates on progress and ensuring alignment across all parties.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience in mechanical construction delivery, specifically within HVAC, piping, welding, stainless steel work, and fabrication.
* Knowledge of construction sequencing, resource allocation, and recovery planning.
* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and safety practices.
* Excellent reporting, organisational, and communication skills.
* SMSTS or IOSH-qualified, with tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
* Results-driven, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience in high-security environments.
* Previous exposure to large-scale civil engineering, building, or MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) projects.
* Nuclear industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
