Overview
Capgemini’s End User Services UK team is expanding, and we’re excited to welcome a Junior IT Support - Packaging to our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in 1st line support who is enthusiastic about learning and progressing in application packaging. This role involves collaborating with high-profile clients to deliver software in a structured and secure way, with training and hands-on experience in application packaging tools and processes to enhance the end-user experience.
Hybrid working: The work location will be a blend of company offices, client sites, and your home, and you will not be able to work from home 100% of the time.
If offered this position, you will go through pre-employment checks including identity, nationality or immigration status, employment history for the last 3 years, and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Your role
* Provide 1st line support and assist with software-related queries and incidents
* Learn how to package and deploy applications in a secure and structured environment
* Document application packaging processes and expected outcomes
* Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams
* Support testing and troubleshooting during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
* Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
Your Skills and Experience
* Experience in a 1st line IT support role (e.g., service desk or helpdesk)
* A keen interest in learning application packaging and deployment
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Basic understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft Office
* A collaborative and proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. You must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, among other criteria and requirements. During the recruitment process you may be asked about your security clearance eligibility, including country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
