This specialist group of care homes based in and around East London, seeks a qualified Financial Controller to effectively provide accounting, payroll, taxation, and administration support to the group. Reporting to the Financial Director, the successful candidate will support the residential care homes in all finance related aspects and to enhance the smooth effective operation of the service from both a finance and administrative perspective.
Duties include:
Accounting
* Ensuring that all transactions are posted to Sage Line 50 accurately and promptly, including the preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments and journal adjustments
* Maintain supporting control accounts and summaries
* Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
* Invoicing of fees receivable
* Processing supplier payments and import into NatWest Bankline
* Full responsibility of Sage accounting system up to management accounts
* Credit control
* Supervision of all financial roles undertaken by other staff
Payroll
1. The accurate preparation of monthly payroll (circa 110 employees), to be provided to an external payroll bureau from the source Advanced Health & Care (Caresys) documentation
2. Dealing with all aspects of statutory requirements e.g. SMP SSP AOE
