Job Overview: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join our fast-paced and dynamic finance department. This role is ideal for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career within payroll and finance. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, supporting the end-to-end payroll process. Working closely with both the finance and HR teams, you will assist with maintaining payroll records, processing data, and resolving payroll-related queries. Key Responsibilities will include: Supporting the accurate and efficient processing of high-volume weekly payrolls Collecting and reviewing time and attendance records to ensure accuracy, and processing the resulting pay calculations Maintaining and updating payroll data, including new starters, leavers, and pay amendments Liaising with employees and suppliers to resolve payroll-related queries in a timely manner Assisting with additional payroll and finance tasks as required The Person: The successful candidate will be highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of accurately processing large volumes of data across multiple companies within Woodside Logistics Group. They will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable engaging across a variety of platforms, including telephone, email, and electronic messaging. The role requires a collaborative team player who fosters positive working relationships with both internal and external colleagues. Essential Criteria: Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll, with a proven track record of processing high-volume payrolls accurately. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant payroll or finance systems. Desirable Criteria: Experience working with Sage Payroll systems. Experience managing a purchase ledger, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
