Key Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred care and emotional support during waking night shifts.
* Monitor wellbeing and respond to any incidents calmly and professionally.
* Assist with night-time routines and personal care where required.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with day staff for continuity of care.
* Promote independence and recovery-focused approaches.

* Excellent communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience in mental health or social care is desirable
* Right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship for this role).
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience, ideally Mental Health/LD/Neurodiverse support.
* Ability to positively address and challenge inappropriate or negative behaviours and attitudes.
* Experience of using therapeutic de-escalation and/or crisis intervention techniques.
* Able to respond to changes in an individual’s needs and meet deadlines.
* To encourage and manage participation and involvement from the people we support.
* Computer literate, with confidence in using all Microsoft office programmes
Desired Skills
It would be desirable for you to have had experience supporting a person(s) with a mental health condition and within a community-based service.
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Waking Night Mental Health Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Eastbourne. You will provide overnight support to individuals with mental health needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and comfort throughout the night.
