As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be instrumental in the upkeep and operational efficiency of small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This role falls within the Engineering and Technical Services function, responsible for providing essential support, conducting preventive maintenance, and executing repairs on critical equipment and building systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine preventive maintenance and execute necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
* Conduct thorough maintenance inspections, diagnose potential system malfunctions, and implement corrective repairs.
* Support the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
* Manage assigned work orders, utilising established systems for accurate tracking and completion.
* Contribute to energy management initiatives by ensuring optimal operational efficiency of all building systems.
* Ensure compliance of existing installations with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
* Apply established procedures to resolve standard technical issues and communicate information clearly and concisely.
* Deliver individual contributions by adhering to defined procedures and processes under supervision.
* Services encompass, but are not limited to: Concierge, Reception/Switchboard operations, Room Management, Meeting & Event Management, Community Programs, Meeting Supply Equipment, Food Services, Document Services, Mail Services, Record Archiving, Office Supply Management, Furniture and Cable Management, and Space Reset.
* Ensure kitchenette areas are consistently stocked with necessary amenities, including cutlery and plates.
* May oversee the coordination of moves, adds, and changes (MAC).
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Qualifications
* Possession of a relevant vocational qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or building services discipline, a BTEC National Diploma, or a City & Guilds qualification in a relevant trade.
* Typically, 1-2 years of demonstrable job-related experience in a maintenance or engineering technician role.
* A combination of relevant practical experience and vocational training may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
* The ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the capacity to lift and carry loads exceeding 23 kg (50 lbs).
* Proficiency in adhering to established work routines and applying standard operating procedures.
* Effective communication skills for exchanging clear and straightforward information.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
