As one of five new SEN Teaching Assistants, you will: • Work closely with students with SEMH needs, providing 1:1 and small group support. • Foster a calm, patient, and considerate classroom environment tailored to individual needs. • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans. • Support the emotional and social development of students, encouraging confidence and resilience. • Be based in a single class, ensuring consistency and a strong rapport with your assigned students. The ideal SEN TA candidate will: • Have a strong understanding of SEMH and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. • Be calm, patient, and empathetic, with excellent interpersonal skills. • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual learners. • Ideally have prior experience in an SEN setting, though enthusiastic and knowledgeable younger candidates are also encouraged to apply.
