We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to work on innovative water and water recycling projects. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership across mechanical design and delivery, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient solutions. Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Review and validate design outputs for quality, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations. Support design management, commissioning activities, and contribute to sustainable construction strategies. Promote the adoption of innovative methods, modular construction, and digital tools to improve project outcomes. Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration within the team. Ensure all designs comply with current health, safety, and environmental legislation. Identify and implement solutions to enhance safety and minimize lifecycle costs. Contribute to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and lessons learned initiatives. Drive the integration of low-carbon design principles and environmentally responsible practices. Utilize digital technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability across project phases. About You Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered status (or working towards) preferred. Strong background in water, wastewater, or related infrastructure projects. Proven experience leading teams and delivering mechanical designs through all project stages. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
