Sales Analyst (Senior Sales & Market Insight Analyst)
City & Guilds is looking for an experienced Sales Analyst to join our Business in Wakefield. The role is a permanent, hybrid position with a mix of home and office work, requiring presence in the Wakefield office three times per week.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, cleansing, and analysing large-scale sales datasets, including revenue, margin, and pipeline information. You will conduct in-depth, competitive analyses across key sectors, enhance market intelligence through the identification and integration of new data sources and client insights, and support commercial decision‑making through client profiling, regional analysis, and market evaluation.
Key technical responsibilities include developing and maintaining dynamic dashboards in Power BI and Excel to monitor KPIs, sales trends, and market share; ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data across CRM, SAP BW, and other reporting systems; leading automation initiatives and integrating new data feeds; and contributing to wider projects involving forecasting, segmentation, and performance analysis to support business growth.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years experience in a sales or commercial analytics role.
* Strong skills in Excel and Power BI, with experience using CRMs and business intelligence tools.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to distil complex information into simple, compelling stories.
* Strong communication skills, able to present insights to senior leaders and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience analysing data and providing actionable insights to inform commercial decisions.
